English - Read Tuesday's instructions and visit Purple Mash

Spelling - Complete the spelling worksheet, which is attached above.

 

Guided Reading - Use a dictionary or Google to identify any unfamiliar words from the chapter you read yesterday and write their meanings out. 

Lesson 1 - Step 1 - Adding decimals within 1

Please read the text in the Powerpoint above, which is based on Genesis 1:1-25. Then discuss and answer the following questions:

 

  1. What does the text from Genesis tell you about the writer?
  2. What questions do you think the writer asked about the world?
  3. What did the writer want people to know about God?
  4. How do you think the many parts of God’s world are in harmony with each other?
  5. What are some of the ways people can look at the world today that the author of Genesis could not and what do you think this means for us? (e.g. space, knowing the diversity of the world, volcanoes, icebergs, rainforests, deserts.)
  6. What parts of Mass praises God's Creation of the world? Why do we thank God for His Creation?

 

Task - Write a prayer or poem starting each line with "We praise you Lord..." and make links between the Genesis story and our belief in God as the Creator of all. Then, if you can, type up your prayer/poem using appropriate fonts, colours and pictures.
