Tuesday 12th January
Good morning Year 6,
I hope that you and your families are all well.
I also hope that you have remembered to start gathering card or carboard for Friday's art lesson and that you are looking forward to Thursday morning's 'Microsoft Teams' live session,
Today's work consists of the usual maths and reading; some GPS work on using semi-colons and some work on the features of persuasive writing - this work is important as, later this week, you will be writing persuasively as one of the characters from 'Northern Lights.'
There is also a science lesson and the first part of the new RE topic; Sources.
Have a good day,
This GPS is important, very important; I fully expect to see at least one semi colon used correctly (and effectively) in this week's persuasive writing task.
In RE today, you are going to start our new topic - Sources.
I have attached our title page above, have a look at this before as this is what will be coming up in the topic. This topic explores 'Local Church'.
Then, go on and fill in your topic web - remember this is your mind map of what you know and what you would like to know.
Think about our local church when filling in each section and you could also do your own research based on the subheadings to do with the local church.
