Thursday 16th July

Good morning on this your penultimate day of Year 4!  Please remember to email your work to

We are going to continue with Kensuke's Kingdom this week until we finish it.

Today we would like you to read chapter 10 - Killer men come and the postscript.

Imagine you could meet Kensuke - what would you do?  What would you ask him?

Write a letter to Kensuke to find out more about him.  The letter should be one page long and correctly set out?

Introduction - talk about reading Kensuke's Kingdom and what you thought of the book.

Paragraph 2 - Tell him about you - what is like like for you, especially in lockdown?

Paragraphs 3 and 4 - What do you want to know about Kensuke and his life?

Conclusion - How are you going to make a difference?

This week we are revising symmetry and positions on a grid.  Watch the video and complete the attached worksheet.

Year 4 - Week 12 - Lesson 4 - Draw on a grid

This is "Year 4 - Week 12 - Lesson 4 - Draw on a grid" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Today, I would like you to create picnic with all the things you have made over the last few weeks - victoria sponge, lemonade, egg sandwiches, cheese straws and carrot and apple muffins.  Or you can create a picnic of your own choosing.  We would normally have a little end of term celebration in class so this is our way of celebrating.

Have a lovely day!
