Good Morning Year 4 - we hope you have had a lovely weekend and have a marvellous Monday!
We are looking forward to seeing all your hard work and fun as usual. Remember to email pictures of your work and pictures of you have fun to email@example.com
PARENTS: please see Wednesday's DT for the ingredients for this weeks cooking if you need them.
We are going to be writing at length to get you ready for Year 5. Your English lesson should take 1 hour each day.
10 minutes to think and plan.
40 minutes to write.
10 minutes to edit and improve.
You need to remember to use your neatest, cursive handwriting.
Make sure you use a variety of punctuation - A . , ! ?
Use all your grammar knowledge and check your spelling.
Write in paragraphs - start a new paragraph when something new happens.
You should be working towards writing at least an A4 page by the end of your 40 minutes.
We can't wait to read your work!
Read the text and answer the questions in full sentences unless it tells you otherwise. There are 2 texts with 4 questions each to answer. Each text and set of questions should take you no more than 10 minutes to complete.
This week in White Rose we are looking at tenths and decimals. This follows the curriculum we would be doing in class.

Then complete the worksheet below.
As well as a topic lesson everyday, we thought it would be fun to try a little bit of Yoga each day to help us focus.
Did you enjoy last weeks Yoga? Can you remember all of the poses?
Give it a go and send in your pictures of you and your family doing the Yoga poses.
This half term we are looking at Habitats in Science as part of our animals and humans topic. We want to make this topic very practical and get you out in the garden and looking for different habitats.
The first piece of work is to find out about foxes. Read the information below and answer the questions.
Then use the instructions below to try and create your own bug hotel. You do not need to buy anything for this. Use what you have laying around the house and garden. Even an empty box with some grass and stones in would be enough. See what bugs you can attract over the week and send in pictures of your bug hotels.
If you want to do any extra work, then you can use Purple Mash. When you log into Purple Mash click on the weekly activities on the right hand side. Then click on ages 7-9. When you go into this folder, click on week 9
Then you can complete the activities for Monday.
