Phonics - This week we will revise the 'or' grapheme that gives the /er/ sound.

Remember: The 'or' grapheme sometimes makes /er/sound.  Below you will find a PowerPoint  that reminds you of some words that has the /er/  phoneme.  Please go through the powerpoint before completing Day 1 activity.

Can you remember where we will usually find this sounds? Is at the beginning, middle or end?

I have also attached the week's daily phonics activities.  There are four pages.  You need to complete one each day. Once you have watched the video, complete Day 1 activity.

English - This we would normally have a transition morning.  As you are not in school, we will complete various transition activities.

Please go through the explanation attached below. Today's paper based activity is also attached.

Guided Reading - We will look at the last few pages of Meerkat Mail. Go through the explanations then answer the questions in your book.

L.O. To compare volume. Please watch the video before completing the paper based activity.

R.E. - L.O. : To reflect on God's treasure
Today I'd like you to go for a walk outside at look at all the treasures that God has given us.

Let us now look back on the creation story:

You can see that God has given us His world as a treasure.  Therefore we need to care and look after it.

Some questions:

  • What did you like most about this story? Why?
  • What does the poem tell us about how God felt about the world?
  • What do you think God may feel about the world now?

Create a prayer/reflection entitled ‘Treasuring God’s World’. When have finished perform it to your adult/brother/sister.
