Phonics - ar sound activity
Spellings
Monday 11th January 2021
Your learning objective today is to continue to develop your Shrine Box to help to tell your story. You need to:
- Talk to your family about their childhoods
- Compare yourself as a baby to what you are like now
- Develop your Shrine Box.
With your adults, look through your family photo albums and ask your adults to share stories with you. You could even call other relatives to ask them about their childhoods when they were growing up. Can you try to write their story in a few sentences? You could ask questions about what they liked to do when they were younger, what their interests are, where they lived, what they used to be when they were working, what their world looked like and how it has changed.
Think about and look at photos of when you were a baby. Can you draw some pictures of you as a baby and write about how you have changed? What about your mummy and daddy? How have they changed? Think also about Trixie from our new story. She has Knuffle Bunny. Do you have a special toy that you still have from when you were a baby? Can you draw me a picture and tell me all about your special toy?
Could you then draw a family tree? I have included a template of one for you to use.
I have also included a cutting and sticking activity so you order the youngest members of the family to the oldest, and a family selfie template so you can draw a picture of yourself and your family. Remember, you do not have to print these activities out. You can do them on any paper that you have at home.
These activities can then be placed inside your Shrine Box or whatever else you are using to store your memories and stories.
