Monday 13th July

Good morning on this last Monday of Year 4!  Please remember to email your work to

Parents - please note that for DT on Thursday you are going to create a picnic!

We are going to continue with Kensuke's Kingdom this week until we finish it.

Today we would like you to read chapter 6 - Abunai!

Then we would like you to write a letter to Miss Davis telling her about your aspirations.  Michael and his family had a dream to sail around the world.  What is your dream?

Your letter should be at least one page long, written in the correct format, including paragraphs.

What are your dreams and aspirations?

What do you need to do to achieve them - GSCE? A'level's? University? Working on the Job? You may need to use google to help you find out how to do this.

What difference do you hope to make to the world?

Email in your letters so that we can give them to Miss Davis.

This week we are revising symmetry and positions on a grid.  Watch the video and complete the attached worksheet.

Year 4 - Week 12 - Lesson 1 - Lines of symmetry

This is "Year 4 - Week 12 - Lesson 1 - Lines of symmetry" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Normally at this stage of the year we would be completing our progression books.  One of the things we do for our progression book is to create a self-portrait to show how much we have grown over the year.

Today we would like you to create your self-portrait.  Use a mirror to help you carefully create your portrait.  You can use pencils, paint, craft materials or even create it online.  Many portrait artists take weeks to complete their portraits.  So take your time and focus on the details.

Have a lovely day.
